PHUS. Fresno Cali


PURE GRAFFITI. What do you write? and is their a story behind that name?

PHUS. not really just came up with it cuz people around the city always made a big “fuss” over me



PURE GRAFFITI. How would you describe your style?

PHUS. m m m i really don’t know i’ve heard people say its kind of like a preschooler on crack ha

 

PURE GRAFFITI. What are your thoughts about the current graffiti scene where you currently live?
PHUS. complete shit haha way to many tag bangers and not enough real graff writers

PURE GRAFFITI. Have you done much or any commercial work, would you be up for it
PHUS. yea ive done some walls for tattoo shops around the city then custom canvases and sketchs for people to get tattoo’d

PURE GRAFFITI. Do you try to keep your identity anonymous?


PHUS. for the most part all depends on what kind of people i meet and what there character is like

PHUS. BNA , JOB

 

PURE GRAFFITI. What is Graffiti all about to you?


PHUS. Getting your name out there no matter what it takes

PURE GRAFFITI. Do you think Graffiti has reached its limits or do you think amazing new styles will keep arising?

PHUS. i think new styles will always keeping coming up . someones always looking to take it to the next level and top the guy next to them

PURE GRAFFITI. What are some of the writers who have inspired you?
PHUS. Back when i first started i really looked up to people like COPE & SABER but as of now its just my fellow crew members my extended family

PURE GRAFFITI. Do you see yourself doing graffiti 10 years from now?

PHUS. oh yes ill never be able to fully stop i have tried a couple times. Even if it is just getting a little tag here and there or rocking free walls ill still be doing my thing

 

PURE GRAFFITI. Have you have any crazy moments while out painting? Ever been caught?
PHUS. haha oh yea ive had my moments alot of jumping threw backyards mile long chases then a couple short car chases but luckyly i have never been caught up

 

PURE GRAFFITI. Have you ever been to jail? if so how was jail?


PHUS. Naw i have always been lucky

 
PURE GRAFFITI. How do you feel about trainwriting?
 
PHUS. cant get enough of them steel giants , love them nothing amounts to getting a burner on a train then a couple months down the road getting feedback from around the country
 
PURE GRAFFITI. Have you ever had to battle any other writer for any reason?
 
PHUS. naw unfortunetly there isn’t to many writers like that here .mostly just tag banging and quick to fight over here
 
PURE GRAFFITI. What are your favorite markers/mops and ink you use?

PHUS. I’ve become a addict to smash ink in a mop , got to love those drip tags haha

PURE GRAFFITI. How did you develop such good technical painting and drawing skills? What can the rest of us do to sharpen our own? 

PHUS. Ive always been drawing ever since i was a youngin
just did allot of practicing sketch and paint as much as possible that is the only way your gonna get better everyone has there own way of doing things

 

PURE GRAFFITI. What other media do you work in besides spray paint? How do you feel about using airbrushes?


PHUS. im tryin to get tattoing in my book of medians defniatly something im tryin to put work in also . As for airbrushing always wanted to give it a try never have tho

 

PURE GRAFFITI. What are your feelings about more experienced writers reffering to younger learning writers as “TOYS”?


PHUS. never really thought to much about it . but everyone has to start some where and earn there respect

 

PURE GRAFFITI. If you could teach or tell the new generation of graffiti writers, what would it be?


PHUS. Don’t do stupid shit like wrtie pn people house churches and cars and learn your history know what its about and what your getting into learn the rules . cuz if you don’t it wont end well

 

PURE GRAFFITI. Is their anything else you would like to add that was not asked in the interview?


PHUS. YEA JUST WANNA SAY THANX FOR THE INTERVIEW AND GIVE MY RESPECTS TO BLEN FOR LETTING ME BE APART OF THE BNA FAMILY AND MY BOYS FROM THE CREW TUNA SWIFT XOMI INFER ALTIS LOOKING FORWARD TO WREAKING L.A AGAIN. AND TO THE JOB FAMILY AND EVERYONE ELSE MUCH LOVE
