PUREGRAFFITI. What do you write and how did you choose this name?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. i write 6 short for 666 hahaha i lived on the side of old hwy 666 which is now known as hwy 194. as a kid on up i would write 666 on everything id drawn. later on in life i thought “i should just start writing six!” in late 06 i added the PM (Phuckin’Morbid), the PM referring to my style of characters, so “SIX” being my tag and “PM” being my character title, put 2 & 2 together n you got SIX:PM. i found out earlier this year that 6 is my life path number, who’da thunkin’ hahaha
PUREGRAFFITI. Where are you from and how old where you when you first started writing?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. originally i’m from Utah, but raised most my life in Towaoc, Co. (where hwy666 was) my first attempt at graffiti was at age 13, man was i a fuckin’ toy hahaha! i started graff in spite of another krew in Utah, as the years went by my style developed beyond that of anyone from that krew. i got the last laugh, i don’t have to prove shit to anyone else hahaha
PUREGRAFFITI. What’s your background did you go to Art school or are you a Self learner?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. no art schooling for me, i was an artist since as far as i can remember. kids in school would always ask me to draw them some shit haha even a few teachers! it was just practice for me i guess. i wasn’t really into art back then, just juggalo shit. i was in jr. high when i pickt up graffiti n got more involved with my art; ever since then the art has just been growing and evolving. its an awesome process to watch ur art change n get greater (its like watching cannabis grow) then when u piece ur first wall its like gettin’ laid for the first time hahaha!
PUREGRAFFITI. Have you painted abandoned places? Freights? Any weird locations?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. naw no freights yet but i cant wait to get mine haha! i’ve painted a few abandoned houses one in particular was in Whiterocks, Utah; this semi-old lady came out of her house yellin’ at us sayin’ shit like “what are you kids doing?! i’m calling the cops!” to which i replied “i don’t give a fuck!” just then my girl (at the time) picked up an empty paint can n threw it at her, hahaha it didn’t hit her though. but, it scared the shit out of her, she went back in her house n i continued painting… the cops didn’t show up haha! don’t get me wrong i got respect for my elders, haha i didn’t throw the can hahaha! my weirdest location was recently here in abq. me and the home boy EROS went bombing, and we bombed this spot that was just right next to this police station hahaha yeah, it was fuckin’ awesome!
PUREGRAFFITI. What would you call your style?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. i don’t know its got its own look… its still in the process of perfection, but i call it “the devils work” haha it took me for fuckin’ ever to get this far with my style. the coolest shit about this style is that, its all original and authentic! i don’t have any influences inside the graff world. i think that some names are cool n all, but i don’t look up to anybody… if any influences of art, it would be names /or shit like; Todd Mcfarlane, Jhonan Vasquez, Dr. Suess, Tim Burton, gory Anime, dope horror flicks, and myself haha.
PUREGRAFFITI. How many cans do you go through in a week? What brand is your favorite?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. its hard to rack paint here in abq. so i buy it, when i have the money… n when i do buy paint its usually rust-os, krylons, or $1 cans haha… but when i get paint, i try to make every cent that i spent on paint worth it. i also use acrylics on walls when i don’t got cans. i’m that kind of guy that works with what he’s got. everything and anything i can do to get up is how i roll haha my goal is to stay ups! i like rust-os…
PUREGRAFFITI. Are you trying to pass any message when hitting the streets?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. my message to the streets is anger. i’m angry with religions, because it seems to me like they corrupt n control this nation. its like they boycott everything! it takes one religious freak to gather up their little organizations to fuck up what little bit of freedom that we got… “SatansIllestXpression:(the)
PUREGRAFFITI. What is graffiti all about to you?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. at first it was about destruction, not givin’ a fuck, and being cool hahaha (like smoking) now its all that n more. for me now? its about exposure in the scents that is, like being heard through sight you know? (if that makes any scents) its about rebellion, i don’t just do it just to do it anymore i do it to take a stand against the laws that say that we cant paint without doing serious time. its about stories, times, and just chillin’ with and making new friends… all in all graffiti is who i am.
PUREGRAFFITI. What is the best city to paint? What city/country would you like to paint?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. i thought SLC was a cool city to paint… i hadn’t really painted alot of cities yet just ABQ. i pretty much just paint everywhere and anywhere. i couldn’t honestly say that i would wanna bomb a certain city, i want to paint every city in every country hahaha! i’m down for anything if i’m there…
PUREGRAFFITI. If you could paint any surface in the world what would you choose to paint on?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. i always thought that it would be awesome to get a boat or a ship hahaha but my favorite kind of surfaces are cement structures that are out of the way but visible you know? like, you don’t really notice them at first but, after their painted then their hard to ignore… those are my kind of spots hahaha
PUREGRAFFITI. What are your plans or goals as an artist for the years to come?
SIX:PM-KTR.ITK. i just want to make a living out of it. where ever this road takes me, i’m just going to keep on walkin’ it… so far the only goal i’ve got is to stay ups. i’ve just barely got out from under my rock n bout to put in some serious work! its good to be back on the scene with a new style, more ups, new friends, and new respect!
PUREGRAFFITI. Anything else you would like to say to the world?
